The Kiwanis Club of Basehor-Linwood brings together people who care about our community and want to give kids a stronger start.
What We Do
We’re local people helping local kids.
Recognize Terrific Kids (educational and emotional growth) in local schools
Give away free bicycle helmets
Support school programs (Basehor MENTORS)
Support literacy initiatives (School library donations for World Book Day, Kiwanis Story Stops at local businesses)
Partner with schools (e.g., Starbooks), the city (e.g., Basehor's Blooming), and local orgs (e.g., BLAS: Adopt-a-Family, Friends of the Basehor Library)
Donate to child-based causes (e.g., Joy Meadows and VEX Robotics)
[Add your idea here!] - Do you know of a need? We are always up for adding more to our list!
Who Can Join?
Anyone! You don't need experience, just heart and a desire to help.
Whether you're a retiree, teacher, parent, small business owner, young professional, or anyone else - you can make a real difference. We meet once a month (twice if you count Happy Hour!) and keep things fun, flexible, and family-friendly.
